The switch is the device that creates a network. It acts as a controller, facilitating the connection of network devices in the most efficient way. A router is a device designed to receive, analyze, and forward data packets to other networks. Unlike a switch , which only transmits data between computers or other devices on a network, a router analyzes data transmitted from one network, converts it, and sends it to another network. Typically, a router is often used in a secure, local area network to distribute a single Internet connection to multiple computers.

Repeater

Extend your wireless network with a repeater or range extender

Use signal repeaters to increase the coverage of your WiFi network. These are also known as range extenders. They are very easy to install, by connecting to the outlet. It is recommended to install the repeater as far as possible from the router, but to have a good enough signal. The repeater will then retransmit the signal further.
