It is important to note that you can select from the DVR / NVR menu the recording method, namely: continuous, in which case the HDD will fill up quite quickly, scheduled or on motion detection, in which case you can save enough space on the HDD if normally there is no continuous movement in the place where you have installed the cameras. In addition, if you select recording at a very high resolution, the HDD will fill up again very quickly, the size of the stored data being very large. One option would be to view the cameras at high resolution, and record at a slightly lower resolution to increase the storage time on the hard disk . It is good to opt for special HDDs to form the best surveillance systems , as they are built to operate non-stop and meet the parameters necessary for the safe storage of recordings made.
